The Board of Elders & Deacons
The Board of Elders and Deacons are church members elected and ordained to represent, oversee and plan for the sustainability of the church. The Collegiate Churches of New York is comprised of 4 churches: Marble Collegiate, Middle Collegiate, West End Collegiate and Fort Washington Collegiate. Each church has their own body of Elders and Deacons. All the representatives among the 4 churches are known as The Consistory. They gather frequently during the year to plan and vote for important events. The senior minister of each church is the President of the local consistory. In that case, our current senior minister is the President of the Board of Elders and Deacons.
